Welcome friends to the Fortryllelse Studios Gardening page. Here we will be posting photographs and notes about working in our gardens, enjoying our gardens and decorating our gardens! In honor of the all hallows eve season, lets talk about black plants! I recently discovered the joys of Gothic Gardening and have begun to collect many many varieties of ‘black plants’. Of course they are mostly not true black but are very dark in color and add a rich feel to the garden. My hope is to create a completely black garden to decorate in a deliciously morose way with gargoyles and other strange things… So far I have black Calla Lilies which I have painted into immortality with my Black Calla fairy, Very dark Cannas, Black Tulips, Black Roses and a few plants that I bought for their rich dark mahogany leaves…and the naughty gardener that I am, I have forgotten their names! Photos soon to come! Happy Ghoulish Gardening! ~ Sarah
